How can I customize the SmartRing color on my Oral-B rechargeable toothbrush?
Oral-B Genius and iO Rechargeable Electric Toothbrushes come with a customizable SmartRing of up to 12 colors for a more personalized experience. The 360º SmartRing is visible from every angle as you brush so you can easily see when you’re applying too much pressure to better protect your gums from overbrushing.
To change the color of the SmartRing simply log in to your Oral-B app and follow these steps:
- Go to “Devices”
- Tap on your connected handle
- Select your preferred color.
Can I turn off the SmartRing feature?
Your Oral-B’s SmartRing comes preset as white and will always light up red when too much pressure is applied during brushing.
You do not have to customize the color and have the option to leave it as white, but the feature cannot be completely turned off. The SmartRing is designed to protect your gums form overbrushing by alerting you when too much pressure is being applied for a more optimal clean.
Can I customize the SmartRing color on two brush handles from one smartphone/app?
Yes, you can customize the SmartRing color for two handles from one smartphone or app. However, you can only pair one handle at a time with the Oral-B app. We recommend installing the Oral-B app on two separate smartphones and pair each app with one handle.
If you only have one smartphone/app, follow the steps below to customize the SmartRing color for each handle:
- Log in to your Oral-B app
- Choose the handle you will not be using with the app
- Pair the handle you will be using with the app
- Navigate to “Devices>Your Brushing System”
- Press arrow on right-hand-side at your handle displayed
- Set the SmartRing color for the handle
- Repeat the steps 3 through 6 for the handle you will be using with the app
Once your SmartRing colors have been set, you won’t be able to change the color without losing your brushing data.
