Braun and Oral-B are both P&G brands, and they're designed and engineered in our Global Center of Excellence in Kronberg, Germany. The Design and Engineering teams that make P&G’s electric shavers, epilators and electric toothbrushes are closely connected, and they are developing similar technologies in several areas. This includes batteries and motors, but also things like the handle materials that make the appliances comfortable to use but also safe in a wet environment.
While there are many differences when it comes to the final product, there are also many similarities when developing them. Braun and Oral-B help each other to produce better small appliances every day. That is why you see "Oral-B powered by Braun" on the package.
